Anche quest’anno torna il consueto appuntamento estivo che fa rivivere il passato della cittadina medievale di Monteriggioni, a pochi passi da Siena. Ogni anno infatti nel mese di luglio la “Festa medievale” riporta l’antico castello di Monteriggioni, ai tempi di battaglie e taverne, quando i soldati di ritorno dalla Battaglia di Montaperti si incontravano con i viandanti pellegrini sulla via Francigena.

Per l’occasione nella storica cittadina toscana che ancora conserva intatte le sue mura, sarà possibile assaggiare pietanze preparate come un tempo o passeggiare nell’antico Mercato Medievale fra valenti artigiani, quali il ceramista, il cartaio, l’armaiolo, il mercante di stoffe, il miniaturista, il tintore…
Inoltre giocolieri, saltimbanchi, laboratori per bambini e duelli fuori le mura animeranno le serate.

Monteriggioni è una località il cui fascino è rimasto immutato nei secoli. Questo evento è un’occasione speciale per visitarla.

The 11^th Chianti Festival is scheduled to kick off on July 1^st and will feature top Jazz artists.

The Chianti festival will take place in
